The Strange Lamp
The Lamp of Three Wishes by riyaaaa
In a small village lived a poor family of four—Ramesh, his wife Sita, and their two children, Aman and Meera.
Life was difficult. Ramesh worked all day carrying sacks in the market, yet many nights the family slept hungry. Their small mud house leaked during rain, and every winter felt colder than the last.
One evening, while returning home through an old forest path, Ramesh noticed something shining beneath a tree.
Curious, he dug through the dirt and found an ancient brass lamp covered in strange symbols.
"Maybe I can sell this for a few rupees," he thought.
He carried it home.
That night, while cleaning the lamp, Aman accidentally rubbed its surface.
Suddenly...
A blast of blue smoke filled the room.
The walls trembled.
A giant figure emerged from the smoke.
The family screamed.
The figure laughed.
"Do not fear. I am Zafir, the Jinn of the Lamp."
Everyone froze.
"I have been trapped for a thousand years. As a reward for freeing me, I shall grant this family three wishes."
The room fell silent.
Three wishes.
Enough to change their lives forever.
But before anyone could speak, the jinn added:
"Choose wisely. Every wish changes fate in ways humans rarely understand."
